John Stevens: Journey, Concerto for Contrabass Tuba

This work has been published Edition BIM (thanks Rommel).

Has it been recorded?

Thanks.

Yes it has been published. Edition BIM is the publisher. Don't know if it has been recorded.

I found it just fine. just go to the BIM site, and type in John Stevens in the search engine. That will list all of his pieces, including Journey. Good Luck

Anyone know if it has been recorded?

Or, does anyone have/know of an unofficial recording that could be heard for study purposes?

Why don't you ask John Stevens: http://www.music.wisc.edu/html/bios/stevens.html.

Super idea. I shall.

(And thanks for the suggestion -- oh, how I missed the obvious, huh?)

About a year and a half ago, I was able to purchase a recording of Pokorny with the UW Symphony from the guy that recorded the concert. His company is called Candlelite Recorders. Unfortunately, all of our e-mail correspondence has been lost, and there is no e-mail or website listed on the CD. I'm pretty sure I was pointed his way by someone on this site. Have you searched the archives yet?

I found this info in the archives:
