Hi guys!
I'm David and I've been playing tuba in an orchestra for almost 10 years.
I've been using a borrowed Cerveny BB tuba for the last months and my band will purchase a new one.
Currently, the two options available for purchase are:
- Miraphone 86A BB - Almost new (with semi-rigid case included) for 4500€ (~4780$)
- 4 Rotary valves | 17.7" bell | 0.775" bore
- Eastman EBB524 - New with rigid case for 5000€ (~5300$)
- 4 Piston valves | 19 3/4" bell | .689" bore
I would like to know your opinion on these tubas. I know that Miraphone is a solid brand with good quality but I don't know much about this particular model. Regarding the Eastman option, their quality seems to be quite good from the reviews I hear/see on youtube, I really enjoy the sound.
Thanks in advance!
