Which Fischer edition of the Arban for the Prescott Technic System?

Post by willako »

Hello,
I have the Young and Jacobs Arban edition. However, I would like to use the Prescott Technic System, which uses different page numbers. Does the currently available Fischer edition have the right page numbers to be used with Prescott's system? Thanks a lot. Bill

I use the Prescott system for lessons and ran into the same problem.
We did two things:
1) focus on the exercise groups like “first studies” not page numbers. It really takes about 3 minutes to bookmark section in ForScore or even with little post-it notes on physical copies
2) find an old copy of the “Prescott arbans” from eBay or I think qPress it. It is just the selected exercises from first two years of Prescott.

I can’t remember exact terms but google something like “Prescott System dissertation”…some body did a new chart with both versions of Arbans page numbers. Not sure if it included the Encore edition or just both Fisher.

Hope that helps
