Similarly, if you are a euphonium player playing Eb tuba, you can pretend you're reading Bb treble clef and use euphonium fingerings.

If you would like to play treble clef Bb transposition music (trumpet music, clarinet music, etc.) on a CC tuba at the correct pitch level, you can pretend the Bb-transposed treble clef music is "concert pitch" bass clef music and use F tuba fingerings while actually playing the music on your CC tuba.

Tried something similar, but it didn't work for me at all...
(I Pretended to read Eb horn with Bb side fingerings when starting to read "normal" tuba parts on a BBb tuba. Every time I'd have to use 4 my left thumb would twitch )
I think it's just a matter of figuring out a (or any)way of thinking about it (even just learning different fingerings) and then doing it lots, lots, lots of times until it becomes a subconcious process.

While these kinds of tricks will often work in a pinch, a listener can usually tell who's doing this kind of thing--every time an accidental comes by in the score--especially the ones that require a little thought, such as written Gb....and heaven help you in reading double sharps/flats.

Better to learn to read it "straight".
