Former collegiate tuba player here looking for suggestions. I had a Miraphone 1291 5/4 CC for 5 years through my senior year of high school through college. After graduation, I had to make the unfortunate decision to sell the horn to pay for expenses. Really wish I hadn’t done so, but here we are.
I haven’t played since 2008, but as of late I’ve been feeling the urge to pick it back up. Now, while I’d really love to go snag another 1291, that price range likely isn’t in the cards right now (building a new house, new baby, lots of other expenses taking priority).
I’m looking for recommendations in the $5-7000 range, likely wanting to get another CC horn.
