My orchestra is playing the Tender Land Suite by Copland next cycle. For those who have played it before, did you stay on C the whole time, or did you switch to F at all? Looking at the part, I'm leaning toward just C, but it gets high enough at places to wonder.
Specific parts that stick out:
The "solo" at 21 (range is G3-D4)
The lead-in to 30 (ends on F4)
39-end (goes up to D4 at 40 and held F2s afterward)
Any other general tips/thoughts on the part?
