Anyone here play a Willson 3200 F?

Post by Mitch »

If you do, which mouthpieces have you found to fit the horn best?

If you use different ones for different events, what do you use for

- orchestral work?
- solo work?

Thanks! I offer apologies if this duplicates an earlier thread that I've not seen. I've been using an OLD Perantucci 19 (pre-dates the PT's), and I'm not certain it's the best match. I've also toyed with my old Conn Helleberg and a PT-50, each of which offered things I liked, but no overall winner. Anybody found something they believe is a great overall mouthpiece for a 3200?

Thanks!

mouthpieces

Okay, may I clarify?

As to the EXTREMELY obvious components of cranio-facial anatomy as they relate to mouthpieces: I'm married to a dentist, one of our best friends is an oral surgeon and I've become fairly familiar with craniofacial anatomy as a result; additionally, I have three degrees in music including a master's in performance from a major university so I am entirely aware of all the issues involved with mouthpiece selection. That said, might we return to the question at hand?

I'm simply asking for OPINIONS as to any particular mouthpieces that anyone may have found to be a better 'fit' with a particular horn.

If anyone else plays/has played a Willson 3200 F and has found/noticed any mouthpiece that seemed to them to be a better fit for sound or response (even through all ranges), that's what I hope to learn.

Thank you! :)
