Hey friends!
Anyone got advice for a good practice mute for an Eastman 836? So far I like the look (and price) of the Schlipf practice mute, but I’m not sure what size would fit the 836. I’m definitely open to other suggestions as well.
Thanks in advance!

Re: Eastman 836 Practice Mute
I second asking Chris. I will say, however, that the practice mute won't be a good option. Lee Stofer started, and Chris continued, research into practice mutes and York-style tubas. Basically, intonation and response go completely out the window with most practice mutes.
It's been some time since I reached out to Chris last about it (over a year at this point), but I think Schlipf's Mnozil Brass "tour mute" could be a viable option based on that conversation.
