The Berliner Tuba, a rebuild from Meister Schmidt from Markneukirchen

Finally the time has come. Today I would like to give you a sound example of the Berliner F- Tuba. It was built by Master Stephan Schmidt from Markneukirchen www.hsm-brass.de

It is a replica of a Berliner tuba from 1850. The original is a Julius Lemcke from Berlin. Like the original, the replica has a 15mm Berliner pumpen valves and an (almost) cylindrical leadpipe.

I played the Bombardon aria from the opera: Das Goldenes Kreuz by Ignaz Brüll. At the piano the fantastic Natalia Nazarenus.
