David Glidden Mouthpiece

Post by Steepgrain »

Hi all,

Can anyone recognize this mouthpiece? It is used by former Frankfurt Radio Symphony Tuba player David Glidden.

This a rather old Perantucci mouthpiece with a "bell shaped" outside shell. Off hand, PT-50 or PT-88. For a similar mouthpiece, also with a light shell, the Canadian Brass Heritage Series MB-50 or MB-88 would be the call. Much development and refinement has gone into current production RT/USA and PT/Europe since that golden oldie was produced. Dave and I met at Rudolf Meinl's 84th birthday party end of July. Both are fine, both are retired.
