I was fortunate to visit the Miraphone factory the other week.
What a great bunch of people, very welcoming.
Was very impressed with their factory and I am a manufacturing engineer (in past, for Airbus Industrie, BAE Systems, Rolls-Royce, etc.).
They do everything themselves except raw material and silver plating.
Good well-trained and youthful workforce: saw an apprentice being trained to make a bell flare when going round.
They produce about 1,500 instruments each year of which half are tubas.
Spent some time in their showroom which was full of tubas of every size and key.

Now own a Norwegian star and Ambassador. Fan of both.
