Fernando Deddos Low Brass Trio Consortium

Post by euphoniac84 »

The Crimson Brass Trio is delighted to announce the Fernando Deddos Low Brass Trio Consortium!

Fernando would like to compose a multi-movement work for low brass trio that is appropriate for undergraduate level players. The work will be approximately 7-8 minutes long and will feature Latin American and Brazilian musical forms.

We enjoy playing low brass trio music to provide a change of pace on a quintet recital, and the blend of the horn, trombone, and tuba works beautifully. The buy-in fee for a professional is $75, and to generate interest among students, the student buy-in fee is $25. Buy-in fees are paid to Chris Dickey via Venmo. Details will appear in the consortium contract shared after you confirm your interest with the participation form below. Buy-in will occur between October 15 and December 1, 2023.

Thanks for your consideration!

This is really interesting! Before buying in, are there any good recordings of other works by Fernando Deddos? I want to get an idea of what kind of composer he is. Also, is there a date this will be completed and sent by?

You can review select recordings on Fernando's website here (https://www.fernandodeddos.com/recordings). The goal is to distribute the score and parts no later than January 1, 2024.
