Tuba overhaul in the SE

Post by mikebmiller »

Where would you go in the Southeast - preferably the Carolinas or GA, to get a tuba overhauled? And any idea what it would cost? This is not for me, but for a lady in our community band who really needs to have her horn fixed up. The bottom bow is beat all to hell among other things.

Thanks for any suggestions.

You could try Rich Ita at https://www.brassinstrumentworkshop.com/ or Bill Diess at Southeastern in Huntsville, AL.

Kevin at North Georgia Horn Works does great work! He’s worked on both my C horns and my helicon and vastly improved each of them including piston and rotor overhauls and some aggressive dent work. Nice guy too and it’s a mom and pop operation so great customer service.
