Hello!
I'm going to be taking a trip to Germany this summer and I'm looking to find a few places that I would be able to test out a bunch of tubas (looking for an upgrade from my current B&S Model 3097 and would love to try some F tubas). There was a thread from about 10 years ago that recommended these places:
"Miraphone, near Munich - large showroom, many horns to try, buy through a dealer
Musikhaus Thomann e.K. They have the most amazing brass showroom in all of Europe.
Fachmarkt Blasmusik (FMB) in Guetersloh (Dammstrasse 39) is one of the larger shops in Germany.
Bob Tucci's shop"
Does anyone know if these places still have showrooms? From the research I've been able to do online, the Musickhaus Thomann and the Fachmarkt Blasmusik seem to still be great places to go. Any new suggestions/updates?
Thank you!

Hello Tuba Mark,
All the mentioned shops/manufacturers still have showrooms. Advised strongly to make an appointment before you go there. And perhaps tell them about your preferences. (To avoid disappointments....).
Another place of interest: https://showroom.buffetcrampon.com/en/home/munich/.
Best,
Hubert

Probably Bob Tucci has not many instruments in stock. For sure far less than the other mentioned shops/manufacturers.
But it is always interesting to meet him, get his advice and ....sometimes he has some gems to offer!!

It looks like Bob Tucci's trade nowadays is limited to mouthpieces only.....

I tried to get out to Miraphone during a quick trip to Germany last fall. They were super nice but were already booked up with a big tour the one day I could be there. Following this because I'd love to go back and do the same thing
