Anyone played on the LB116 rims?
What about the CB118?
Can you get your 'Tuba Chops' into it or does it want to find a new embouchure??

I use the LB 116 wide rim with a K cup, excellent!
Just received a Lexan copy as well.

Great. That's a pretty wide setup for a full time Euph player...
Have you ever tried the Schilke 60 or 61 BTrom pieces? If so how do they compare to the DE116?
I know
on paper the DE116 is 29.5mm but how does it feel on the face?
One manufacturers 29.5mm has no relation to anothers...
I have a Bach 32E which Bach say has an inside Dia 29.5; it feels a lot bigger than some of the biggest bass trom pieces of similar Dia.
I'm torn between the DE LB116 and the CB118 and have no practical way of trying them (anyone got anything used?).
How are Mr Elliott's waiting times these days?

Hi,
Yes, but with the wide rim it's really comfortable. All the others I had (Schilke, Bach etc) had narrow rims and were too thin.
Sometimes they come up on ebay, but his equipment is returnable. My order was pretty quick but he tours a lot so it varies.
Both mine and my students tuba m/p were well worth it.
