So, i broke my index finger on my right hand. It will be pinned Tuesday. Has anyone gone through this? Very interested in your thoughts and experiences. I am a very healthy 69, healthy, but still 69.

30-45 minutes of surgery, usually under local anaesthetic or regional block, pain wise, probably no worse than your original injury, after a week or so, playing the tuba will be great physiotherapy

Thanks I am told 4 weeks before pins removed, I am getting a general, 1 PM PST. Been told some chance of permanent stiffness, I will follow medical instructions see what happens. Apparently keeping pins stable is biggest issue.
