Coolwind Rotor?

Post by Art Hovey »

Some years ago I purchased a "Tiger" tuba on Ebay. Although it is awkward to hold and fragile, I have managed to keep it working because I like the sound that I can get from it and it's not heavy. The anodized aluminum rotors eventually became pitted.
When they started marketing the same model as "Coolwind" I bought one that was damaged, and found that the Coolwind rotors resist corrosion much better. But one of them was different from the other three, and does not fit, so I am still using an old corroded one.
Does anyone have a Coolwind tuba that is ready for the trash heap? If so, I would be very grateful for one of its rotors, and would be willing to pay a reasonable amount for it.
