There will be a 25% tariff increase in brass instruments and accessories (mouthpieces, valves etc) starting August 27th

This is true. Be sure to make a public comment if you don't think imported tubas are a threat to national security.

He's not wrong. Foreign ventures have been screwing US companies and consumers for decades. It's about time someone restricted offshore attacks on US business. (Should be limited to China and other predatory communist nations though . . . The UK is in a downward spiral, but it's not done yet.)

Who's not wrong?
How have European tuba makers been screwing US companies? Is, say, Miraphone attacking US business? I don't understand.

There are no major instrument makers of tubas in the US anymore. Conn-Selmer recently closed their last US brasswind plant and moved manufacturing to China, and the hedge fund that owns them is unlikely to move operations back on-shore.
