Look at the lowest valve in the "photo". It's just a rotor and lever that's been clipped out of another photo. It's not attached to anything else.

Actually those bottom three valves are embedded directly in the airstream of the bottom branch. The paddles inside the tubing provide slight variations in the resistance and can be used to help fine tune the instrument instead of pulling slides, just in case there is an out of tune note with the other 51 valves.

No, with an organ you can use your feet.

The Cerveny factory does offer an optional foot pedal attachment for the CC model.

It would make much more sense if the valves were laid out like an accordion. Including a ridged paddle for CMaj, of course.
