Fraud Warning

Post by MikeMilnarik »

Dear TubeNetters,

It has come to my attention that a second person that frequents this BBS has been taken advantage of by a person named Wayne Clarke.

Wayne is a resident of Maine and has offered an Altieri Gig Bag for sale. (I wish to leave out the names that have had problems with him, and leave it up to them if they'd like to chime in on this topic.)

The bag was sold to the first person, and they did not receive the bag. I helped to try and track down Wayne so that the person would either get the bag, or their money back. After a lot of phone calls, and hassle, the board member did get the bag on August 19th.

Tonight I received an email from a friend of mine in California that asked if I knew Wayne Clarke, because he had sent him payment in APRIL for "an Altieri gig bag" and never received it. He has been contacting him through email and AOL Instant Messenger.

I'm not sure if anyone else has been taken advantage of, but there's been TWO too many at this point and I thought you all should know to be careful.

Sincerely,

Mike Milnarik
