When I listen to some of this genre, I am immediately struck by "I'm listening to a tuba player or tuba group". When I listened to MTJ's "My Favorite Things" CD, I was struck by "this great music (jazz) with a terrific feel that has soloists and ensemble sections that swing!" Then I was hit by "oh yeah, they're playing tubas and euphs! Cool!"

Again, real jazz, real music, really great tuba and euph playing.

LVs comment about being taken up that this is great jazz and then thinking.. wow these are tubas playing it as being secondary was exactly the thought process I had on Christmas Eve last year when I played my copy of "My Favourite Things". It is just plain good stuff.

As great as that album is I think the previous album, "Live at the Bottom Line" even gets more play time on my speakers.

Do yourself a real treat and grab them both!
