My countryman, the composer Mogens Pedersøn, lived around 1585 to 1623.
Another countryman of mine, the musicologist Christian Mondrup, has made choral scores and MIDI sound files of Mogen Pedersøn's music available at

In accordance with Christian Mondrup I have piggybacked him by issuing 13 instrumental 5-part playing scores of "Ecco la Primavera". All fully compatible with Christian's vocal score.
From listening to Christians and mine MIDI sound samples you will experience, that my interpretation of the tempo is very much faster than Christian's. Mogens Pedersøn didn't make metronome markings (for very good reasons), so it is for the interpreters to decide. I find the syncopated rhythms very dance friendly.
The 13 scores and the MIDI sample file are to be found at

There they are presented this way:
MIDI-sound-EccoLaPrimavera.mid
MIDI sound sample. The piano sound emphasises the impression of the rhythmic complexity (sort of early baroque funk). It also can be heard that even if the tempo is steady, the pulse goes up and down by halving and doubling the note values.
3Violins2CelliEccoLaPrimave.pdf
Version for 3 violins and 2 celli.
BbBrass-5tetEccoLaPrimavera.pdf
All treble clef: 2 Bb cornets and 3 Bb trombones-baritones-euphoniums (BBb tuba on the bass part). Also soprano and tenor saxophones on the 4 upper parts.
BrassQuintetEccoLaPrimavera.pdf
2 Bb trumpets, F horn, trombone, and contrabass tuba (a bass tuba will have to play from the CBrassDoubleReed5 score)
CBrassDoubleReed5EccoLaPrim.pdf
Canto and Quinto in treble clef concert. ATB in bass clef concert. Oboes, bassoons, C trumpets, trombones, and bass tuba. 2 violins and 3 celli.
CStrings-Viola-5-EccoLaPrim.pdf
4 violas and 1 cello
EbBrass-5tetEccoLaPrimavera.pdf
2 Eb cornets, 2 Eb horns, and 1 Eb tuba (contrabass line). 2 Eb clarinets, 2 Eb alto clarinets, and Eb contralto clarinet (Eb alto clarinet).
EbSaxo-5tet-EccoLaPrimavera.pdf
3 Eb alto saxophones and 2 Eb baritone saxophones. Eb tuba (bass line)
F-horn-5tet-EccoLaPrimavera.pdf
5 horns in F. The 2 upper parts go up to high C
GuitarQuintet-EccoLaPrimave.pdf
Guitar Quintet. The flute and recorder versions will benefit immensely from having one or more guitars added. In such cases the guitar section should be built from the bottom and up. 2 flutes reading from the string version on the upper parts and 3 guitars on the 3 lower parts will sound heartbreakingly beautiful.
SSAAA-FluteChoir-EccoLaPrim.pdf
One of the two fully compatible octave-up Flute Choir versions ( but then all versions are compatible but for the octave)
SSATBRecorder5EccoLaPrimave.pdf
Octava up version - Recorder 5-tet - SSATB
SSSBB-BbClarinetsEccoLaPrim.pdf
3 Bb soprano clarinets and 2 Bb bass clarinets
SSSSB-FluteChoir-EccoLaPrim.pdf
One of the two fully compatible octave-up Flute Choir versions ( but then all versions are compatible but for the octave)
For lack of storage space I have had to place this project and a few of the older ones into a new Yahoo group. I will try to make it easy for members of the original YMBBb group to join this new group, but some have settings preventing that.

National chauvinism aside: this is truly great period music made available in arrangements offering great opportunities for low conical brasses together with their higher range soulmates.
The 13 quintet scores can be combined into full orchestral, concert band, or brass band scores.
