Hi all,

I've got a York Eb Helicon that I wrote about in this thread:

viewtopic.php?t=10475&highlight=

I finally got to start cleaning it up & play with the horn a bit this past week. It does need some of repair work, but the thing that's really standing in the way of me honking on it is the narrow leadpipe. The inner diameter of the leadpipe (also called the mouthpiece bit?) is smaller than the outer diameter of my PT-88.

Is there a standard "small shank size" for tuba mouthpieces that would fit this horn or do I need to bring my calipers home and measure it before I start shopping?

I'm hoping that I can find a relatively cheap small shank mouthpiece piece somewhere so I don't have to pay many times the cost of the horn ($50) just to see how it plays.

thanks,
Evan
