If you do have it in your folder and it is then old chicken scratch (hand written), there is a new typeset version available! It is easy to read, has page turns, etc.
From my site
http://www.bvdpress.com, I only have the new copies. I am not sure if other companies still have a few copies of the handwritten version laying around so you might want to double check before ordering it.
It is a great piece that should be in all quintets that are serious about performing!

A Monteregian Hills you can actually read? Where is the challenge in that. I think all my up-and-coming brethren should go old school and read the original.

This is my most favorite brass quintet piece of all. I just love the entire suite. I have not played it in a while. We need to break it out and blow the dust off of it.
BTDT, We used the last movement for a christmas piece about 6 years ago.
Lots-o-fun!

If anyone is interested in a copy of the new version, I posted it to my site for $25.00. The normal price in $35.00.
You can find it be clicking the "On sale" link on the left hand side of the homepage, or type in the composer or part of the title.
Here is the link for the site:

72 at-a-boys (or at-a-girls) to the folks at BVD and to Mr. Kent Mason who spent the time resetting the Suite from the Monteregian Hills. I just received the new parts from BVD and they are excellent. Being the oldest geezer in the faculty BQ I really needed a better part.

If Brian says it's okay, anyone wanting the trombone part for this transcribed to bass clef, just drop me a PMl. I took the trouble to reset it from the old version for our trombonist with very bad (i.e. macular degeneration) eyesight. For us, it was a matter of accomodating someone with a handicap, so it's been set with extra-dark bar and ledger lines. That old score, tenor clef and bad peepers just didn't make for a good combination.
