"MFKCI" is part of a 10 work commission project for John Adams and the San Francisco Symphony. The SFS premiered the piece in 2003 and we've used it quite extensively on National and European tours in the past two years. The passage you're probably refering to is the extended "Ives" band section early in the piece. Much of the passage is in unison with the 1st trombone part and hovers above the top of the bass clef. I did that passage on my B&S F and used my PT6 on the remainder of the work. It's a very interesting piece that draws on John's experiences growing up in New England. In the second movement you recreate the foghorn, I guess it had to happen. Hope this helps.

I just played the Adams this weekend. I used my Holton 6/4 for the entire piece.

You gun advocates are all the same. You seem to think that the Constitution guarantees you some kind of right to own a gun. And look where that leads. Bambi's mother had to die to make you guys happy.
