Pro Tec Euphonium gig bags...a qestion.

Post by SqueakyOnion »

I've been wanting to get a gig bag for my euph, and I like the pro tec bags the best, with the big side pocket and all. However, I was wondering what side of horn is the maximum they can fit? My Meinl Weston 551 euphonium is about 26.25 inches tall, and the only specs I can find about the gig bag are that the bag ITSELF is 27 inches. Would my horn fit? does anyone know, or direct me to a phone number or e-mail of the pro-tec company? Thanks!

If this is still relevant (I been gone), the VMI 3171 fits OK. It's a close fit, but you don't have to shoe horn it. The VMI 3171 has a 12-inch bell and measures about 26 inches in length.
