I haven't been able to do a TubaChristmas for the last three years. It certainly ain't 'cause I don't want to. There's just too much stuff going on.

Amen, brother, but as I recall, if the students haven't gone home, most of them are cramming for finals...

Attending Tubachristmas isn't a problem if you live in southern California. I'll be playing today (my first ever Tubachristmas) at the Port of LA.

Then there's:
Dec 11th in Glendale (coordinator is Jim Self)
Dec 17th Riverside
Dec 22nd Downtown Disney

Well, Bloke, I know it's a stretch, but I'm having a TubaChristmas in Ayer, Massachusetts on Sunday, 12/18. You are certainly welcome, if you can make it :D

If you can't make it, have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, anyway.

I had all good intentions of making the Philadelphia TubaChristmas (inside at the Kimmel Center, not in the cold!) this morning, but, as Bloke said, there is just too much other playing going on right now. I will try to make the only TubaChristmas in NJ next Saturday, though--also inside! The 18th would be a lot better, schedule-wise. 8)

The past two years, the Atlanta TubaChristmas has been during finals week, and I've always managed to get at least one final scheduled on that day. Somehow, I've always had professors understanding enough to be willing to let me take the finals early.

I get the feeling most professors are pretty understanding about this, if you let them know far enough in advance.

Has anyone ever had a professor NOT let you reschedule a test to go to TubaChristmas (assuming you gave ample notice).

Oh, and what is this "cramming" you refer to?

At one time, Ed Owens at ASU was working on a TubaChristmas for December 20. I know its in the week, but it is at a time other than the first two weekends.

I will let you know if it works out.
