Double bell euphonium

At the TC yesterday, I noticed once again those double belled euphoniums. One makes it sound like a regular euph, the other sounds like a trombone. I wanted to ask those who play it if you can play both bells at the same time. How exactly does it work?

It's one bell or the other, using the last valve to make the choice. The closest I've ever come to both bells at once is using that valve like a trill during a cadenza...

think of having a valve trombone and a euphonium.
Connect them.
Leadpipe goes into the valve cluster... after that it's either vbone or euph.
