I was wondering if there were any brass quintet pieces that feature tuba (besides flight of the tuba bee) that would be good for a high school brass quintet. Or jsut any really fun brass quintet songs to play

Some of them feature the tuba more than others... but they all have tasty tuba parts.
a la Canadian Brass...
Fantasia and Fugue in D minor (Book of Advanced)
Gloria from Nelson Mass - Haydn (Book of Advanced)
Hava Nagila (Book of Favorites)
Hallelujah Chorus (Book of Favorites)
also...
Pink Panther (arr Frackenpohl)
Tuba Tiger Rag - probably too difficult.

"Symphony for Brass Choir" by Victor Ewald (I think there´s more than one. It´s the one that starts with an opening phrase for tuba).
Pieces that are equally challenging to all parts.
Our 5tet "coach" made me play the euph part on the F-tuba, taking it down an octave at some points, but NOT at the high peak passages

Previn's Four Outings for Brass Quintet features the tuba promenently. It was dedicated to John Fletcher.

I have a version of "Solo Pomposo" for Tuba and the other 4 members of the Quintet. Contact me at
chuckjackson1@cox.net if you would like a copy. It's not free, but not pricey.

There is also Christer Danielsson's "Capriccio da camera" für Tuba und Blechbläserensemble.
This work actually features the tuba exclusively with a brass quintet (bass bone playing the fifth voice) accompaniment. I've used it successfully on several recitals of both the "academic" and also "public" varieties. Works for both purposes.
I believe a recording exists, although I can't recall which Walter Hilgers recording it is on.
FWIW.

Check out Gary Slechta's arrangements. They are pretty much a standard repertoire in Texas.
Here are two that feature tuba
Sailor's Hornpipe

What child is this? (Greensleeves)

Check out his other stuff too. They are very written.

You could always consider arranging your own music. Find something that you like a lot, then re-arrange it for brass quintet - but put the melody in the tuba.
