American Tubists Abroad
I know there are American tubists playing in major orchestras in Europe, Asia and Latin America. But, I'm not sure how many. What American's can you think of that are playing in major orchestras outside of the United States?
Also, are there any tubists in major American orchestras that are not American?

Americanos en México
There are at least five of us down here in Mexico. I play tuba and some trombone here in Guanajuato, then there are Paul and Dwight in Mexico City who are free-lance and with the Filarmonica de la Ciudad respectively. You already mentioned Eric. There's also David (a Canadian) in Jalapa who teaches the youth orchestra tuba and trombone students. Thanks to the high level of teaching everyone has been doing, we are replacing ourselves with Mexican players. The level at the OFUNAM audition in Mexico City last year was very good. Cheers, John
