Tubas at Midwest

when at the midwest clinic this week I had the opportunity to try a bunch of tubas. I really loved the miraphones: especially the firebird, and the 181 6 valve
the low range was secure, the upper range had great tone.
My question: what are the pros and cons of switching from a Meinl-weston 45-slp to one of the above miraphones
In the ensembles I play in I still need a big sound at times, but I also do quintet.
