Hey all.
I know there was a post about this some time ago, but I thought now that they've been out a while some might have more experience with the Ritter tuba bags? I'm mainly wondering about the foam thickness and coverage. Are there any spots that are left with inadequate foam? Is the overal thickness of the foam adequate? Thanks in advance!

Re: Ritter gig bags
I have one. It has lots of pockets; one of them will hold a folding music stand. As for "adequate", I suppose it depends on how adequate "adequate" is. I don't think it is exceptional. I'd guess about a half inch of fiber fill. The part that goes around the edge feels like it might have some shoe box grade of cardboard reinforcement. The bottom edge has plastic reinforcement that works as feet too. The bell end has what feels like a thicker cardboard circle -- maybe wood -- to reinforce that end.Is the overal thickness of the foam adequate?
It has a suitcase style carrying strap and backpack straps. It does not have a shoulder strap -- something that I wish it did have. The bag seems like it will provide about normal-average "protection". I don't think the bag would keep the tuba free of damage during a trip down a flight of stairs.

Then it wouldn't be a gig bag; it'd be a "flight" caseSplatterTone wrote:I don't think the bag would keep the tuba free of damage during a trip down a flight of stairs.
Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?
