Hmm.... Montiverdi was a 15/16th century composer. Czardas was written for violin, but by Vittorio Monti.

Naw, it was composed for violone by Monty Python; that's why they call it "Monty's Czardas".

I believe there's a free version on Sibelius Music that's for tuba and brass quartet. It's in F minor.

You'll need the Scorch plug-in to view it, but the cool thing is (other than free download and printing) you can transpose it before you print it! As soon as I've got Donna Lee down in all 12 keys, this one is next in line

The original version for violin is in d minor, so if you transpose the solo part down a third (or up a sixth

the song probablly sounds familiear, because the full extent of the song can be heard a few tracks earlier along with the rest of the home tapes. also, another recording for it can be found on patsheridan's lollipops...i think.
