Hello
Congrats on your newfound desire to learn more about our wonderful instrument. When I was a young whipper-snapper growing up in Central Illinois, I studied with Mr. Terry Solomonson, the Principal Tubist in the Peoria Symphony. He is adjunct instructor at Bradley and full time at WIU in Macomb. Here are some links that may help you get in touch with him.

Mike Forbes is only about a 35 minute drive from Washington and teaches at ISU. Here is how you can get a hold of him.

How about lessons from Bloke - he seems to be everywhere! Bet he makes house calls.

You are not too far from my alma mater of IWU. When I went Doc Streater taught all the low brass instruments. They now seem to have a Adjunct Faculty member named Ed Risinger who teachs Tuba. Worth checking out.
