I'll be driving, and will probably be cutting it much too tight on Wednesday evening. Are there any changes (from last year) on which gates will be open to civilian traffic?

The gate on Washington Blvd. & 2nd St. (Hatfield Gate) is the only gate open to non-DOD decaled vehicles, and is open 24 hrs. The gate near the Iwo Jima memorial (Wright Gate) is DOD-decaled vehicles only (although anyone can leave that way), and is open 5 am to 9 pm. The gate across from the Days Inn (Henry Gate) is an exit-only gate, and is open 8 am to 6 pm, but is closed Sat. This gate is open to incoming pedestrian traffic.

Just make sure you always have a picture ID, and make sure your tags are current.

I'm glad to hear you will be attending, Ken. Always glad to swap stories and learn a few things.

I was hoping that Wright would be open once they finished the new inspection facility. Hatfield it is.

If Wright stays closed to non-DOD folks indefinitely, what will that do to the Quarterdeck's business?

Perhaps it's a plot to push the officer's wives' food concession?

My mouth is watering right now. Wait a minute. That's just plain drool. Bowling alley food is such great stuff. It almost makes McD's sound edible. Well, at least it's handy.

There is now a Subway sandwich shop on post in the Shoppette next to the gas station. Just opened last week.
