Alan Baer Master Class and Recital

Post by Roger Lewis »

Alan Baer has been invited to do a Master class, Q&A Session and Recital at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, hosted by Professor Gary Bird. The dates are Monday, January 23rd and Tuesday, January 24th. Here is the schedule of events:

The Master Class / Clinic session is on Monday in Room 121 Cogswell
Hall at 6:30-8:30pm

The Question/Answer session is Tuesday at 3:00-4:30ish in Room 121
Cogswell Hall

The Recital is on Tuesday evening in Gorell Recital Hall (2nd floor of
Sutton Hall) at 8:00.

It is free and open to anyone and everyone.

The Woodwind and The Brasswind will be in attendance with a bunch of horns and accessories for people who want to try them out. I'll be bringing two Miraphone Firebird F tubas, both 6 valves, 1 in yellow brass and 1 in gold brass, a 1292 in silver and several other great instruments. I will also have the G&W mouthpieces along.

The instrument room will be open Monday from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Tuesday from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and again on Tuesday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM

Having been at Alan's Master class and Recital in Milwaukee, I know this is going to be a great experience and I, personally, am looking forward to being there.

I hope those of you who can be there will join us.
