I get mine from the local clock repair shop. They usually have lots of old junk mainspring and will simply give you a pile for the asking.

Oddly, new mainspring isn't as good as the old stuff. Replacement new mainsprings by and large are manufactured in India.

I always cannibalized off of horns that won't ever get fixed.
