looking for recordings....

Post by The Impaler »

Hey fellow tube-netters:

I'm currently prepping the Wilby Concerto and Golland's Peace for a doctoral recital later this spring and was wondering if there were any recordings out there that you would recommend. Thanks in advance, and if you happen to find yourself lost around Athens (what a great town to get lost in) later this spring, feel free to come by and check it out. I'll also be doing Bach's 2nd cello suite and Sparke's Pantomime.

First of all Good luck, what a great selection of pieces. I do not recall the album but Steven Mead I know has recorded the Wilby. I am not positive about the other. contact me at work jason@dillonmusic.com or feel free to call 732-634-3399 (ext 19) and I can look through our Cd's to see which one it is for you. He has also recorded Pantomime... which is a fabulous piece.

Hey Cale,
Peace is on the album The Essentail Steven Mead

it's and amazing piece (no pun intended) we have been playing it the Georgia Brass Band. the 1st time was with Thomas Ruedi (who plays so beautiful) and we have also been playing it with our principle Euph. John Caputo.

The Wilby Concerto is on Steven Mead's album Oration:
