Hello. I'm looking for a *new* DW 1XL in silver. Anyone know how/where one may be procured?

Thanks

Denis Wick (yes, with one "N") now has his own website:

That's great, except the Shopping Cart doesn't work. Any North American distributors? Dillon Music?

You can always email him direct from the website. As for US retailers, the ones that might have it are Mouthpiece Express, Dillons, WWBW, or any number of small stores around the country that sell about one Besson horn per month and might have a dusty one on the back shelf.

Not that this would make any difference to most people, but he seems to have quietly redesigned the exterior. Really quietly - I don't know of any picture or mention of it, I just know because I have a relatively new 2L. The new exterior has a sort of mega-tone look, straight sides with a shallow rim overhang. At this point there's probably a mix of old and new stock out there, and you could get either.

I wondered about that. For my old Besson, I have a 1 and a 2, both purchased in the last few months. The 1 I purchased new, and it has a smooth tapered outside. The 2, which I purchased used, has a ring carved out, kind of in simplified Bach style, at the throat.
