All BBb tubas are the same length. The heightof this tuba, if it's the same as the old 2341 is about 41 inches, give or take.

The only major difference in design is the single piece bell. You might just take off an inch from the previous design.

Oh, if you really want one, King will custom-build a recording bass model, with removable bell for a price.

I think it's 34"

I get this from the Hornguys site which lists the Cronkhite tuba bag stock sizes. Go to www.hornguys.com . Then click on the "Cases" link and look for the Cronkhite list. Most of the commonly available tubas are listed.

Steve Ferguson is a great source for these bags. Another great source is Irv at www.slidebone.com

I guess they cut it down from what it was. I had an old one from about 40 years ago.

It's an almost entirely new design from the old two piece kings. It's much shorter and squatier. IMO it's also a much better horn than the old model as long as you find a good one, fit and finish is not that consistent across the board.

The bell is much shorter. Mine was 35".

The rest of the horn is almost identical to the older 2341s. The bell design was taken from a York monster Eb. Its bell volume is much more than the older King design, so it allows it to be shorter.
