This a great piece with a very satisfying tuba part. I believe most of it is set in Bb Minor. Grab the Torchinsky book of Mendelssohn and Dvorak and check it out. Zdeneck Macal's recording with the New Jersey Symphony has got to be heard to be believed. Pat Landolfi (3/4 Ruddy 5V CC) will put any notion that you need a BAT to sound huge out of your mind. Good Luck and enjoy the work, it is stunning.
