Hofmeister tubas??

Post by corbasse »

I'm shopping around for a BBb tuba for our wind band. One of the shops sent a list of instruments in our price range (round 4500 euro), and apart from the usual Jupiters, Yamaha 321, entry level VMI etc it offered two models of "Hofmeister" tubas. The types were "Imperial" and "Mainz". I can't find any tuba brand named Hofmeister on Google, and was wondering if anybody here had ever heard of them.
