PT-88 equivalent?
Is there a mouthpiece that feels the same as a PT-88 but has a funnel cup for a darker tone? Maybe with a touch more resistance?

There's a reason they're so similar; story goes that Maestro Tucci just 'rebranded' Tilz mouthpieces with his own name. A PT88 used to be called a PT10. Here's the chart of equivalences:
PT MPC's
----------------------------
American Style Models
Pt 30= 3
31 = 12
32 = 2
34 = 21
36 = 1
38 = 1-S
50 = 20
German Style Rounded Cups
60 = 8-S
62 = 8
64 = 9
66 = 19
68 = 7
72 = 25-S
80 = 17
82 = 23
83 = 26
84 = 25
86 = 0
88 = 10
S is for Small

I've moved to the PT-88 from the RM 10. The Rudy has a distinctly wider cup and less resistance, which gives me trouble in the high register and the extreme pedal register. I can play higher and lower on the PT with better control, but I have an excessively bright sound. That's why I'm looking for a funneled equivalent that doesn't have a wide throat. I do better with a little bit of resistance, and mouthpieces that are too free-blowing cause me to lose what little fat my tone has.

you could try the GW Caver, it's the same size as the bayamo (which is close to an 88 ) , but has a smaller backbore and it responds pretty quick. I see that you are in Rome, I'm in Atlanta (Vinnings, NW inside 285) if you want to come by at any point let me know. I have most of the GW MPC's (except the Caver, Diablo and Charuda) and way too many moutpieces here at my place. Send me a PM if you want to come by.
