Hello Tubenet, it's been a while since I've checked up so for one of my first posts being back, I just wanted to know if anyone knows of any recordings of the John Williams Tuba Concerto. I just picked up the piece at the conference in DC and would like some more listening time with it to help me get it in my head. I was at Tony Kniffen/Steve Dumaine's recital and did get to see it played extremely well live, I just want to listen and following along in the music. It was great to see 2 orchestral musicians perform and see the level of playing that is out there with them and the rest of the performers at the conference.

So anyone know of a recording of it that I can buy? Thanks in advance.

How could I get my hands on the bootleg recordings of the 3 players you mentioned Bloke?

I will order both recordings listed, thanks ck, but only after my bank account bounces back after how much I spent at the tuba conference.

What about the recording of this on Charles Vernon's CD...it's the same isn't it?

Maybe I should put the question more bluntly. Anyone have the bootleg live versions of any of the players mentioned in either mp3 format or on a CD that they could send me?

I will definitely get the real recordings by Velvet Brown and the other CD mentioned in the future when money is not so tight.
