It very well might! Worth a try. I think it's shorter than a standard bass/contrabass tuba mouthpiece, so you might have to pull the main tuning slide a bit to bring it back in tune.

JK mouthpieces are excellent for the kind of in-between situation you are looking for.
I use a JK 5E tuba mouthpiece on my cimbasso, and have a JK KBP-2A and a 1A for my contrabass trombone. The 2A came with the horn and felt too small... about the size of some of the big bass trombone mouthpieces currently on the market. The 1A works better for me, more of that in-between a bass trombone and tuba size, and really works for me on the contrabass.

If it has the traditional smaller receiver than an American standard BBb receiver, try a Wick 3, 4 or 5
