Anybody near South Bend, IN?

I need a place for a couple of tuba players to meet up and try out horns and it must be on Sunday the 19th. In or around South Bend. Our original meeting point fell through and I am now without a staging area.

Can anybody help me out with some ideas where we could meet and play? Schools, Music stores with big practice rooms, etc?

Please help!

I assume you are meeting in South Bend so you can visit Woodwind/Brasswind. Roger Lewis at Woodwind/Brasswind monitors this forum and sometimes posts. Maybe he'll respond to you. Otherwise, just call Woodwind/Brasswind and ask for him. If your interested in trying out new horns, surely he'll assist you.

WWBW is usually closed on Sundays, so you'd need to make a special appointment to come in.

Sunday....

I will be traveling back from Tubonium 4 in Minnesota that day. As soon as I arrive in South Bend (around 4:00 PM hopefully) I need tok balast right over to a quintet rehearsal that we scheduled several weeks ago. Sorry.

Thanks everybody for the info. I will know exactly what to do next time, the notice was just a little too short for us this time. Ah, life...

If you haven't already cancelled you may come to my house if you don't need a huge space. I might want to honk on your horns, though. Email if you're interested.

Very satisfying places to listen to tubas, in my experience, have been large, stone-walled church sanctuaries.

If you're off your home turf, perhaps your minister can introduce you to an associate in South Bend.....though your time is running rather short.

Weekdays are less crowded, but finding a church that's open on a Sunday shouldn't be too much of a challenge.......
