Where are the best tuba players? the worst?

What areas in America seem to birth great tuba players? I kno texas does for sure, but besides that 8)

I don't think there is ANY place that "births" a tuba player. No one pops out of their mommy with a mouthpiece asking where the horn and the beer is. :lol:

I'm sure Ralph is right about the mouthpiece, but I know several guys who MUST have popped out asking about the beer.

On of the best used to be in Amarillo. Richard Frazier was principal tuba with the Amarillo Symphony when he was in his teens.
