Hi All,
Just a note to let you all know that Gerhard Meinl delevered the Tuba to New York on Wed. I am happy to say that it is indeed even more than I expected! We tested the horn in Avery Fisher Hall on Wed. night comparing it to my Gronitz PCK. The Horn actually has more core, difinition, and to say the least, much more sound.. I'm amazed at how easy the horn is to play! I'm playing it this week on Tch. 5 and it truely has made life easy...
From what I'm told, the horn will be unvailed in Denver, at the ITEC convention. If you want to check out the sound, go to the Philharmonic web site and look for the live stream under "attend concerts" then broadcasts.
I have no information on who will carry the horn or how much it wil be. Sorry..
Cheers,
Al Baer
