Hello to one and all. I just got a CD in the mail and thought it was worth mentioning here. The recording is Charles Vernon with Eric Ewazen, Piano. It includes the Halsey Stevens, Spillman Two Songs, Ewazen Concerto for Bass Trombone (Tuba), Wilder Sonata for Bass Trombone and the John Williams Concerto. If you know any of these pieces this recording will not disapoint you. His sound is the picture of consistency throughout all registers. The playing is very musical. I recommend this recording in the highest.
