Yup, in the middle of a couple of horns and a trombone, Ben Thomson--a tuba player won the BBC Radio 2 Young Brass Soloist of 2006 with Rodney Newton's Cappricio.

CONGRATS to Ben as he is a fabulous tuba player and one heck of a guy! I'll never forget Sinclairs or the Didsbury Dozen thanks thanks to Ben!!! Ah, to be back in Manchester.....
